Wave Gate: A Shrine Passage

A site of multiple portals between the Shrine for Grandma and Shrine for Grandpa in Ilgwang village, Wave Gate: A Shrine Passage is composed of a life-sized mirror-shrine conceptualised by Vuth Lyno and a multi-channel soundscape created by Madeleine Flynn and Tim Humphrey. Concurrently reflecting the sea and visitors, this work forms a spatial and sonic synthesis of the human, non-human, and more-than-human.
