Oh’s <Drops of Anima> displays three luminescent drops made from reflective film and droplet-shaped balloons. One sits on the beach, while another skims the surface of the East Sea, and the third hovers high above the water surface. This work not only visualises the properties of water circulating freely in gas-liquid-solid states, but also shows the liquid connections that permeate and converge across Ilgwang’s sky, sea, and sand. The surface of the work, which reflects brilliantly in the sunlight and moonlight, shows infinite moments of fluid changeability. <Drops of Anima> signifies the omnipresence of wateriness, and how water is a collective life-source across non-/human ecosystems, from the sweat and tears we shed to the planetary scales of oceanic bodies.
