Lawrence ABU HAMDAN is a “Private Ear” whose projects have taken the form of audiovisual installations, videos, performances, photography, essays, and lectures. His sound-based practice is deeply enmeshed with geo-politics; his audio investigations have been used as evidence in international tribunals and justice-based organizations. For the 2019 Turner Prize ABU HAMDAN, together with the other nominated artists, formed a temporary collective in order to be jointly granted the award.
