Water is at the crux of installation artist OH Taewon’s practice; she perceives it as the most fundamental element that permeates and compels all states of matter, temporality, and space. Her site-specific drop-shaped structures are singular odes to water’s capacity for infinite transmutation. Oh’s droplet works also form sites of interplay between light and liquid, using materials that refract their immediate environment, thus evoking the inherent fluidity and omnipresence of wateriness.
