EL-SAYEGH’s immersive installation responds to the three registers in BAE Suah’s short story. The shifting non-hierarchical perspectives of “the I, the His, and the Third.” This disruption of the coherent ordering of narrative is reflected in the installation through the horizontal/vertical/surface relations and the object/painting/installation arrangements.
