Bamboo, which shows the distinction of years with every joint, is regarded as an axis of time by the artist Hiroyuki. In Hiroyuki’s structure of weaved bamboo, one axis becomes the phenomenon of the matter, while the weaved net of the bamboo symbolizes accumulated narratives. This bamboo structure, made of endless intersections of bamboo which symbolizes traces of time, expresses the diverse languages of time, and emphasizes the temporal accumulation in the port city of Busan, where people and things constantly come and go.
