The BusanBiennale 2008 unfolds at the Busan Museum of Modern Art , Gwangalli Beach and APEC Naru Park between September 6th and November 15th under the theme of 'Expenditure'. Culture is more closely related to wasteful activities where products are released and consumed to go back to the beginning of the cycle, rather than activities of production, construction, preservation, and augmentation. In this regard, the theme of the Busan Biennale 2008 promises to exhibit a distinctive philosophy of 'Expenditure' and a vivid scene of contemporary art through a variety of artworks created by artists invited from throughout the world, including paintings, photographs, videos, installations, outdoor sculptures, etc.
